Tan, Haines claim all-around titles at 2025 Hopes Championships

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (July 18, 2025) – Cassandra Tan (Poulsbo, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) won the 13-14 title and Avery Haines (Bowie, Md./First State Gymnastics) took the 11-12 year-old division at the 2025 Hopes Championships in Illinois on Friday.

Tan sweeps 13-14

Tan won the 13-14 all-around by more than two points, finishing with a 50.050 to clinch gold while sweeping all four apparatus events. She posted 12.850 (13.250, 12.450) to win vault and a 11.650 on uneven bars to tie for first with Tiraia Ballard (Accokeek, Md./Capital Gymnastics National Training Center). On balance beam, she scored 12.350 to secure the title and finished the competition on floor exercise, where she won with a 12.800.

Chrysette Diggs (McKinney, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics) secured silver in the 13-14 all-around with 47.850, aided by a top three finish on floor (12.350) and beam (12.050). Alden Dante (Villa Park, Calif./Wildfire Gymnastics) finished narrowly behind Diggs in the all-around to earn bonze with 47.650 and also picked up bronze on vault with a 12.650 (13.000, 12.150).

Haines on top of 11-12

In the 11-12 division, Haines took the all-around crown with a 49.750 overall. She also went home with bars gold (13.250) and tied for silver (12.250) on floor with Kinsley Myers (Clinton, Md./Capital Gymnastics National Training Center) and Audrey VanGrinsven (Bothell, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics)

VanGrinsven claimed all-around silver behind Haines with a score of 48.850, also winning beam silver (12.350) and bars bronze (11.600). Mary Sizemore (Scottsdale, Ariz./Rebound Gymnastics West) was the all-around bronze medalist with a 47.800, aided by her strong performance on bars (11.750) to win silver on the event.

Kyndall Keys (San Antonio, Texas/360 Elite Gymnastics) took vault gold with a 13.300, while Kinsley Jo Kruiter (Andover, Minn./Twin City Twisters) secured gold on beam (12.550), and Brooklyn Klauser (Frisco, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics) took the title on floor (12.750).

The 2025-26 Hopes National Team Presented by Xfinity was named following the Hopes Championship in Hoffman Estates. Athletes named to the team are listed alphabetically below by age-group.
