HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – The nation’s top Olympic and World medalists will be at NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois (Hoffman Estates), leading a field of more than 250 athletes who will compete at the 2023 Core Hydration Classic August 4-6. The event serves as the final qualifier to the 2023 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in San Jose, Calif. The weekend will include competition for junior and senior women and men as well as the Hopes Championships.

Olympic champions Simone Biles, Sunisa Lee and Jade Carey headline a stacked women’s lineup that includes 2022 World Championships vault and floor silver medalist Jordan Chiles, 2021 Worlds all-around silver medalist and floor bronze medalist Leanne Wong, 2021 Worlds all-around bronze medalist Kayla DiCello, and 2022 Worlds team gold medalist Skye Blakely.

On the men’s side, 2020 Olympian, 2017 World Championships floor bronze medalist and eight-time Pan American gold medalist Yul Moldauer leads a field including 2015 Worlds vault bronze medalist and 2014 team bronze medalist Donnell Whittenburg, 2021 World pommel horse gold medalist Stephen Nedoroscik, and 2020 Olympian and three-time NCAA champion Shane Wiskus.

Competition in Chicago will kick off Friday at 2 p.m. CT with the 2023 Hopes Championships, which will see Hopes athletes in the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups vie for national titles. They will be followed by junior women’s Core Hydration Classic competition at 7 p.m. CT.

Saturday’s slate is reserved for two sessions of senior women’s competition, with Session 1 at 1 p.m. and Session 2, featuring all Team USA Olympic and World Championships medalists, at 7 p.m. The final day is set for Sunday, August 6, when the spotlight will be on men’s competition. Junior men and Session 1 of senior men, which includes all National Team athletes, will start at 10:45 a.m. CT, with Session 2 beginning at 4:45 p.m. CT.

Senior women’s sessions on Saturday will be broadcast live on CNBC and streamed live on Peacock, and NBC will air a highlight package Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT/3:30 p.m. ET. Senior men and junior women will stream live on USA Gymnastics’ YouTube channel, and the Hopes Championships will stream on FlipNow.tv via subscription or pay-per-view.
