



HARTFORD, Conn., June 4, 2016 – Alexandra Raisman of Needham, Mass./Brestyan’s American Gymnastics, won the senior all-around title at the 2016 Secret U.S. Classic at XL Center in Hartford, Conn. Rachel Gowey of Urbandale, Iowa/Chow’s Gymnastics, was second, and Alyssa Baumann of Plano, Texas/WOGA, finished third. Earlier in the day, Irina Alexeeva of Plano, Texas/WOGA, captured the junior all-around title. The next stop for the women is the 2016 P&G Championships, June 24 and 26, at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo. Competition in Hartford concludes tomorrow with the final day of the P&G Men’s Championships, when the men who will advance to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Men’s Gymnastics will be determined.
Alexeeva won the junior all-around title with a 57.550 total to edge past Emma Malabuyo of Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics, by 0.050. Gabby Perea of Geneva, Ill./Legacy Elite Gymnastics, rounded out the medals podium in third with 57.050. The junior event champions were: vault, Jordan Chiles of Vancouver, Wash./Naydenov Gymnastics, 15.650; uneven bars, Perea, 14.750; balance beam, Alexeeva, 15.100; and floor exercise, Morgan Hurd of Middletown, Del./First State Gymnastics, 14.250.
